PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Black embossed carrier tape provides individual formed pockets for electronic components that are packaged for storage, transportation and feeding to compatible assembly equipment. Each pocket is selected around one component type so that parts can be presented in a consistent orientation. The black PS version is the focus of this listing; the historical product series also lists PC as a material alternative.
 
WIDTH AND POCKET SELECTION
tape widths of 8, 12, 16, 24, 32, 44, 56, 72 and 88 mm. This range describes a family of configurations, not one tape that accommodates every component. Usable pocket space, pocket depth, pitch and support features should be selected from the component drawing, including body dimensions, lead or terminal envelope and pickup requirements. Separate component types may require separate pocket tooling even when they use the same tape width.
 
FEEDING AND WINDING
Sprocket holes provide an indexing interface for compatible feeding equipment. Hole geometry, pocket pitch and their relationship should be reviewed with the intended feeder rather than inferred from width alone. Reel diameter, hub size, tape length per reel, winding direction and any leader or trailer requirements should be included in the order specification.

Provide a component drawing or sample, tape width preference, required pocket orientation, equipment details and order quantity. Where a new cavity is required, tooling feasibility and sample approval should precede production.
