PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Transparent embossed carrier tape provides individual formed pockets for electronic components while keeping the contents visible through the carrier material. It can be considered for packaging workflows where operators need to check pocket occupancy and component orientation. The historical product series lists clear and black appearances with PS, PC and PET material options.
VISIBILITY AND INSPECTION
Clear material can support visual checks during packing and assembly preparation, but visibility depends on pocket geometry, material finish, lighting and any cover tape used. Compatibility with an automated inspection system should be evaluated using representative samples on the customer's equipment. The empty tape shown in the illustration is a configuration example rather than an approved production drawing.
COMPONENT-SPECIFIC POCKET DESIGN
Each pocket is selected around the component body, terminal envelope, height and intended orientation. Suitable clearance should allow loading and removal while limiting unwanted movement under the agreed handling conditions. Provide the complete component drawing and pickup requirements when requesting a new pocket design.
FEEDING AND REEL ARRANGEMENT
Tape width, pocket pitch and sprocket-hole configuration must be considered together with the intended feeder. The source specification describes size as customizable; Reel diameter, hub configuration, length per reel, winding direction and any leader or trailer requirements should be agreed before production. The illustration shows one narrow-tape arrangement, not a hole-layout rule for every custom width.
COVER TAPE SELECTION
A suitable cover tape may be specified to help retain the components during storage and transport. Select its width and sealing method for the approved carrier design and material grade. Trial sealing and peeling should use the actual carrier-and-cover combination under the intended operating conditions. Confirm whether the order includes empty carrier tape only or additional packaging accessories.
ORDERING AND SAMPLE APPROVAL
For a quotation, provide a component drawing or sample, preferred loading orientation, feeder details, order quantity and any electrical requirements. Sample approval should check seating, clearance, component removal, feeding and cover-tape compatibility where applicable. Confirm the production drawing, packaging arrangement and current commercial terms before placing a volume order. Components shown in other application materials are not included unless expressly agreed.
